Caribe Coffee was founded in 2018 by couple Wilmer and Ellie Carcamo, of Fairmoor, near Morpeth. Wilmer, originally from Honduras, drew on his heritage and family connections to coffee farming to create a brand that not onluy sells excellent coffee, but that shares the story of how speciality coffee can benefit farmers. Initially Caribe Coffee operated as a wholesale supplier. Over time the business shifted to direct retail through markets and food fairs. More recently it has broadened its online presence and now offers subscriptions, a wide range of single-estate Honduran beans and free UK delivery of its freshly roasted coffee.  Social media also plays a key role in the business, helping Caribe Coffee build customer trust and community support. Customers consistently rate the company highly and appreciate its ethical sourcing model.
